Owens a 20 year television veteran started his career in 1993, as a reporter trainee at WUSA-TV in Washington, D.C. and began working at WRAL TV-5 in 2002. Today Owens recapped the following stories:
This Saturday there was a massive fire at the Bridgestone tire plant in Wilson NC,
One woman died and three others were injured in a two car crash car early Sunday morning.
There was a water main break in down town Raleigh over the weekend causing traffic over the weekend.
A month in to hurricane season and there is a storm off the Florida cost that could be the first tropical storm of the season and effect North Carolina’s cost this holiday weekend.
Tonight they will check the path of the storm to the storm.
