Saladin Muhammad, a retired worker, was the first of the Moral Monday protesters to stand trial and was found guilty of all charges.  Muhammad’s charges included tresspasing, failing to disperse & violating building rules at May 13th’s protest in Raleigh and was sentenced to pay a $100 fine after a 6 hour trial.

Muhammad is one of 940 protesters that were arrested.

Protesters were against bills that would damage working people, low income families, public education and the enviroment.
