If you live here in NC you can look for your homeowners insurance to rise an average 7% depending on where you live in NC.
The increase is lower than the requested 18% that was requested by the NC Rate Bureau. The increase is set to go into effect in July.
The rates will increase by as little as 1 percent in Winston-Salem and Greensboro and by as much as almost 20 percent for homes along the beach in Brunswick, Carteret, New Hanover, Onslow and Pender counties. Most of us here in the triangle area will see the average 7% increase.
