Preaching at the 16th Pastoral Anniversary for Bishop Joseph Walker of Nashville’s Mt. Zion Church several years ago, Bishop Lester Love brought R&B to the church house for the purpose of praising God. Some may think his unconventional way of praising God is too much for church, but Jesus says come as you are. For many coming as you are is coming to the Lord with secular music in your heart. As the Bishop points out, doesn’t matter if it is secular or gospel, as long as you are praising God.
