As colder air moves in today, a powerful storm system bringing rain is expected to change to snow and sleet.

A Winter Storm Warning has already been issued for several parts of the state. Counties that could be affected include: Alamance, Chatham, Davidson, Durham, Forsyth, Franklin, Granville, Guilford, Halifax, Orange, Person, Randolph, Stanly, Vance, Wake, and Warren.
