The school assignment plans for Wake County Schools have been an issue for some time now and with a new edited and approved version the board is expected approve it and move forward.
The 2013-2014 plan is the 3rd change in many years and is based on assignment maps and offers a base assignment tied to students home addresses. Students can also remain at their current schools if they are happy but parents will have to supply their transportation.
WRAL reports that many parents have just grown tired and just want stability.
