Host of the Christian program 700 Club, Pat Robertson tells man that “he should divorce wife with alzheimer’s and start over again.”
A viewer shared his story about his friend saying: ” “My friend has gotten bitter at God for allowing his wife to be in that condition, and now he’s started seeing another woman. He says that he should be allowed to see other people because his wife as he knows her is gone.”
Pat sided with the friend saying that he should instead divorce his wife suffering with Alzheimer’s before seeing another woman.
Pat also said: “I know it sounds cruel but if he’s going to do something he should divorce her and start all over again,” he said, “[and] make sure she has custodial care and somebody looking after her.”
However, his co-host argued about marriage vows being “for better, for worse”…. “til death do part.”
Pat stated, that suffering from Alzheimer’s is a kind of death.”
