NC Gas Tax Going Up In July

State lawmakers failed to put a cap on the gas tax so therefore we will be paying more in gas by next month.
The tax in NC will increase to 35 cents per gallon in July, making it a record high for North Carolina.
California and Washington are the only other states that charge more than NC at the pump.
Gas tax goes toward improving roads and highways in NC.
