Maryland — The mother of a girl struck and killed in a hit-and-run is asking for help from the public in finding the driver.
Alexandria Bergland, 14, described as a happy teen who loved to dance and listen to R&B singer Chris Brown, was crossing the 5200 block of Marlboro Pike in Capitol Heights, Md., to meet her mother at a bus stop last week when she was struck.
The Flowers High School freshman had a very close relationship with her mother. After breakfast, Alexandria would walk with her mother to the bus stop, and many evenings, she would meet her there again.
But at about 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 21, she was hit by two cars.
