Wake County Board of Education voted yesterday to adopt a community based busing system and move away from the longstanding practice of diversity busing.  The policy was approved in a 5-4 vote to place students in schools based on where they live.  Opponents say they will continue their legal fight to assure that economically disadvantaged students will not be kept from the same quality of education as more advantaged students.  Supporters maintain segregation will not happen under the new policy and it will allow from more stability for students and parents.
