In recognition of the latest teen death and the many others, state troopers are kicking off and educational program in Johnston County today.  Last week teenager Jesse Ferrel lost his life trying to pass two cars on a rural road, now the N.C. State Highway Patrol is taking steps to prevent another death – “Operation Drive to Live” begins today. Data show that car crashes have taken the lives of nearly 700 teens in the last four years and  Johnston County has the highest rate of teen driving deaths in the state in North Carolina.
