Thelma Lou Robbed in Mayberry
You know crime is bad when Thelma Lou, who played Barney Fife’s girlfriend is robbed in Mayberry. Betty Lynn, who played Thelma on the “Andy Griffith Show” had her wallet stolen at a shopping center in Mount Airy. Shirley Guynn was arrested and is being held on a $10,000 bond. Lynn told reporters that she moved to Mount Airy after being robbed several times in L.A.
