Alton Sterling, the man who was slain by police officers in Baton Rouge outside a convenience store, was laid to rest on Friday. His 15 year old son Cameron Sterling broke down during the open casket funeral.
Both Jackson and Reverend Al Sharpton spoke at the funeral as well, praising Sterling’s family for remaining strong as they called for justice but also for peace.
