A new report says that suicides in youth have doubled since 2010.
According to data collected and released by the North Carolina Child Fatality Task Force; last year 46 children died by suicide compared to 34 the year before and 23 in 2010.
Executive Director of NC Child, Michelle Hughes, says “every child who dies by suicide is a preventable tragedy, “ and she will speak on it to the General Assembly in April.
