Reverend Bell is the senior pastor at New Bethel Christian Church (AKA Holy Ghost Headquarters). He has been the pastor for two years and the church has grown so much under his leadership that adding an additional morning service at 8:00 am will start the first Sunday in March 2015. Under his leadership new ministries has also been formed: Food Ministry, Outreach Ministry, Van Ministry, Parking Ministry and mid week noon day bible study for the senior citizens. Pastor Bell reaches the hearts of babies, youth, teenagers, young adults, middle age and the elderly. He is like a magnet and the vision he has for the church is phenomenal. Pastor Bell is a great shepherd that cares for his flock and watches over them willingly not grudgingly, not for what he can get out of it, but because he is eager to serve God. Pastor Bell has a heart for people far and near. His ministry of helping has extended fro downtown Raleigh to Biloxi Mississippi as well as to the country of Haiti where a school has been formed and supplies sent continuously. One of his favorite scriptures comes from Psalm 8 which says ‘O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!’ The New Bethel Church family is very proud of our new pastor and loves him dearly. Pastor Bell is a long time member of Poplar Springs Church where he was ordained as a deacon in 1995 and chaired the Board of Deacons for three years. He answered the call to ministry in 1999. He was later installed as Assistant Pastor of Poplar Springs Christian Church. Pastor Bell is married to Mary Elizabeth Carrington Bell and have four children and one grandchild.
