TBR — Nashville, TN – Dr. Bobby Jones the recipient of hundreds awards has been tapped to received one more. This year, the host of the longest running Gospel television show on BET has been named the recipient of the 2015 Governor’s Arts Awards of Tennessee.
Dr. Jones says he is thrilled and excited about the honored. “To receive an award and the top award from the state of Tennessee, makes me very pleased, ”says Dr. Jones.
Members of the Tennessee Arts Commission also join Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and First Lady Crissy Haslam in saluting Dr. Jones’ contribution to the cultural life of Tennessee.
The award will be presented by the Governor and Mrs. Haslam at a ceremony on the evening of Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at The Tennessee Residence Conservation Hall in Nashville.
Dr. Jones will be presented a piece of Tennessee art that will commemorate his selection as a recipient of a 2015 Governor’s Arts Awards.
