snow gridlock

North Carolina remembers all to well their snowy gridlock and what’s going on in Atlanta.

Atlanta’s Mayor is responding to the gridlock that has taken over the city since the winter storm hit.

The Mayor blames the National Weather Service for predicing the winter storm would hit further south, and thus they did not prepare for the weather the area received.

The National Guard was sent out to rescue motorists stranded on icy freeways and offer them food, water and shelter. Some drivers have been stranded for hours, and at least 2,000 students remained at schools for hours. Ninety-nine school buses stranded and over 700 traffic accidents reported.

Only 2-3 inches of snow fell.

Sounds alot like 2004 in N.C. when much of the same thing happened.
