Here is a list of businesses that are thanking our military personnel, both past and present, on Veteran’s Day, by offering free or discounted meals or services. Most of these offers are valid on Monday, November 11, 2013.

Harris Teeter: Veterans and active duty personnel save 11% off your purchase on 11/11/13. You will need to show military ID and VIC card to get the discount, which applies after all other discounts and coupons are deducted. Excludes alcohol, tobacco, tickets, and gift cards.

Food Lion: On Monday, November 11, active, retired and honorably discharged military personnel get 10% off their entire shopping order. Does not include alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, lottery, postage and services. To get the discount, you will need to show your military ID and Food Lion MVP card.

Dollar General is offering 11% off your total bill when you show a Military ID on Veteran’s Day. No coupon needed. This discount is offered for Veterans, active military, members of National Guard and Reserve and immediate family members. You can see more details at DollarGeneral.com.

Restaurants

Applebee’s: Veteran’s and Active Duty Military get a FREE Signature Entrée on Veteran’s Day, 11/11. Dine in from limited menu only. Beverages and gratuity not included. See more details including menu, acceptable proof of service at applebees.com.

Bob Evans Restaurant: Free All You Can Eat Hotcakes for Veteran’s and Active Duty Military on 11/11. Bring valid military ID or wear your uniform. You can see the details on bobevans.com.

Boston Market: Receive a free whole chicken with the purchase of a family meal on 11/11 then you show your military ID.

California Pizza Kitchen: On 11/11, Veterans and active military get a free pizza from their menu. Dine in only. Come in uniform or bring proof of service. At participating restaurants.

Chili’s: FREE entrée on 11/11 for Veterans and Active Military Personnel. Pick from a special menu found at chilis.com. Dine in only. Beverages and gratuity not included. Show proof of military service. Dine with Chili’s on Sunday, 11/10 and they will donate 10% of sales to the Wounded Warrior Project with flyer found at Chilis.com.

Denny’s: FREE All-You-Can-Eat pancakes for active, inactive and retired military personnel on 11/11 from 6 am to 2 pm. Bring valid military id to a participating location.

Golden Corral: On November 11, from 4 pm – 9 pm, service members can enjoy a free dinner buffet and beverage. No ID is required. Dine in only.

Hooters: On Monday, Nov. 11, all veterans and current servicemen and women can enjoy a free meal, up to $10.99 with any drink purchase. Show a military ID or proof of service at any Hooters location across the country according to the press release on hooters.com.

Krispy Kreme: Present your military ID or wear your uniform on Veteran’s Day, 11/11 and get a free doughnut and small coffee. No purchase or coupon necessary. Limit one per person per visit. Valid in-store only – not at drive through. You can see a list of participating stores at KrispyKreme.com.

Little Caesars Pizza: Free order of Crazy Bread for US Veterans on 11/11. Must present military ID. Valid at participating locations (so you may want to call ahead to verify your store is participating)

Milton‘s Pizza: Free entree or buffet for active or former military with proof of service on Veteran’s Day. Wakefield location confirmed they are participating.

O’Charley’s: All Veterans and active duty military receive a free meal from their $9.99er menu on Monday 11/11.

Olive Garden: On 11/11, Veterans and current service members get a free meal from their special menu. Family dining with them also get 10% off their meal. Dine in only. Proof of military service required. All November, current military and their families get 10% off. You can see the menu at olivegarden.com.

On the Border: Veterans and all active military receive a free meal from their Create Your Own Combo Menu on 11/11 at participating locations. Contact your local OTB to make sure they are participating.

Outback: Military who have id will get a free Bloomin Onion and beverage on 11/11. They also get 10% off their meal from 11/12 – 12/31 with ID. See outback.com for more information.

Red Robin: On November 11th, 2013, Veteran’s and Active Duty Service personnel will receive a FREE Red’s Tavern Double Burger. Provide your military I.D., proof of service, or wear your uniform at participating Red Robin restaurants. Dine in only.

Sweet Tomatoes: BOGO buffet for Veterans and active military with proof of service. Drink not included. Only valid at participating locations so call ahead to verify if your local one is participating.

Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch for active, former or retired military on 11/11 from 11 am – 2 pm from the list of available entrees. Show proof of military service. Dine in only. Drink (Coke product, tea, coffee) including.

TGI Fridays: Free lunch for Veterans and Military personnel at participating locations. You may want to call ahead to verify your store is participating. Proof of service is required.

Tijuana Flats: Veterans and active military receive a free entree on 11/11 with proof of service.

 

Retail

Great Clips is offering free haircuts to all Military on Nov. 11th. Also, any civilians who come in for a haircut will be given a “free haircut card” that can be given to a member of the Military to use in the future.

JC Penney: Receive 20% off in-store purchases November 6-11 for current and former military with coupon that you can print from jcp.com/military. Proof of service is required.

Sports Clips: Free haircuts to the Military and former military on Nov. 11th. Not all stores are participating so be sure to call ahead. They are also raising money for the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) & will donate a $1 from every haircut.

Starbucks: Active Duty, Veterans & Spouses can enjoy a free tall brewed coffee on November 11.
