According to state figures, the unemployment rate dropped in 99 of 100 counties in North Carolina for the month of March.
The Triangle’s unemployment rate fell from 7.5 percent in February to 7.1 percent and Wake County’s March unemployment rate fell to 6.9 percent. Orange County’s 5.6 percent unemployment rate, the lowest in North Carolina.
