The NC State Wolfpack started their bowl game hot and then had to hold off the surging Louisville Cardinals to pull off a 31- 24 Belk bowl victory.
Tuesday December 27, 2011 Mike Glennon threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns and David Amerson returned an interception 65 yards for a touchdown to help seal the victory.
David Amerson had a total of three interceptions in the game giving him a total of 13 for the season, the most in the country, while setting a new Atlantic Coast Conference record.
The NC State Wolfpack close out the 2011 football season winning their last three games in a row and posting a record of 8 wins and 5 losses.
