The study evaluated 148 cities based on operating efficiency and how effectively city officials manage public funds. Durham ranked 15th and Raleigh 21st on the list, with both cities praised for providing high-quality services while managing their budgets efficiently.
Other North Carolina cities like Greensboro and Charlotte also made the list, highlighting the state’s strong leadership in local government management.
