The spirit of community Saturday evening at Durham Performing Arts Center gripped Radio One Inc. founder and chairwoman Cathy Hughes, in town for the 9th Annual Lamplighter Awards. Presented by McDonald’s, The Light 103.9 FM and Assurance Wireless, the Lamplighter Awards honor area individuals and organizations for volunteer efforts and community service.
National recording artist Vicki Yohe will be one of the special guest performers at this weekends 2010 Lamplighter Awards Show and Concert.
