| Event Description: | Free College Prep Workshop – Public Service Announcement
The Commission on Education at St. Paul AME Church will present the annual college prep workshop Saturday, October 1st from 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. including lunch. This is a free workshop for parents and students on how to navigate the college application and financial aid process. Time management, study skills, NCAA eligibility, credit card debt and a panel discussion led by current college students will be included in the workshop. A “Career Day” segment is also included with professionals sharing their career paths to success. The seminar is for middle school and high school students and their parents, with special emphasis on grades 10 – 12. Pre-registration is required at 832-2709.
