| Describe Your Pastor: | Elder Donald Terrell Powell is the Pastor of Holly Grove Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ in Clinton, North Carolina and has been for 19 years. He is a bonafide leader and it is exhibited in his character. His love is shown and felt as he serves his church, community, family, and friends. He lives by the bible verse Colossians 3:23, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” During Pastor Powell’s tenure at Holly Grove, he has worked diligently to initiate and enhance every department. Along with the Holy Spirit, he has been the driving force in developing the lives of every member spiritually, mentally, and physically. He refuses to quit, no matter what is going on in his personal life. This man of God is full of compassion, love, and strength. He serves well and you will always find him asking what he can do for others. He has unselfishly given of himself, time, and finances in order to see the work of God move on in a greater way. Elder Powell is a trustworthy man and his devotion to God, church, family, and the community demonstrates strong moral character. He is not only a Pastor, but also the founder of Elder Terrell Powell and The Powerful Praise Chorale. This group has been blessing the lives of people everywhere for over 16 years. Elder Powell is a giver from the heart. He helps a lot of people, however, you never hear him brag about it, because it is done from the heart. He not only talks the talk, he walks the walk. We are a much better people for having Elder Powell these 19 years. |
