The Carolina Panthers led by league MVP candidate Cam Newton beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 38-19 Sunday to clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. This feat is the first for the franchise.
Newton finished the game 21 of 26 passing for 290 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also had two rushing touchdowns in the game.
