Fayetteville Police Chief Harold Medlock will be at the White House Thursday to participate in an “Arm Chair Discussion” with President Barack Obama.  Fayetteville was chosen along with 25 other cities nationwide to participate in the discussion on how to implement the “Police Data Initiative.”

The focus will be on highlighting local efforts being made to invest in communities and to improve America’s criminal justice system.  Topics that will be on the table include the behind-the-scenes work and progress being made towards transparency through projects such as the FPD’s new Open Data Portal, body cameras and community engagement efforts.
