Pastor/Founder, Elder James A. Peterkin is a native of Norrington, North Carolina. He is the husband of Lady Carla Peterkin and the proud father of
James II, Jordan, Joi, Adriana, & Terryn
October of 2003, in the midst of a spiritual battle, a chosen visionary rose up from the souls of inspired men, Pastor/Founder of Nehemiah Building Ministries, Elder James A. Peterkin. Our mission is to be Christ-centered, divinely driven and people growing, a ministry where prevailing love prevails, a people of prayer, power and prosperity. Nehemiah and friends celebrated the Groundbreaking of a new sanctuary on Saturday, September 27, 2008 in Dunn, NC. With God’s divine power we obtained 26 acres of land to build a beautiful temple in God’s honor. In 2009, the vision became a reality.

Pastor stands to work in society by loving, sharing, supporting neighbors and our surrounding communities. He has joined the group of “Hell Rescuers”. This simply asks “Will you go to hell to rescue someone else?” He simply states, “God used someone to rescue us.” He continues in demonstrating love, faith and joy in giving unselfishly, responding to the needs of others, and speaking compassionately from the depths of his heart. He visits the schools, nursing homes, and supports the students from Campbell University. He allows time to serve with the “Adopt-a-Highway Program by joining his congregation in cleaning up our county’s roadside. Annually, Elder James Peterkin & Nehemiah host, “Community Connection,” a carnival provided to families at no expense. God has custom made our shepherd from the needles of time and the threads of his own hands. Therefore, it is with great honor and love that we humbly nominate our Pastor, Elder James A. Peterkin for the Pastor of the Month.
