Authorities in Durham had to free a driver pinned in his car after he collided with a tractor trailer Friday morning. It happened just before 7 a.m. on Carver Street. Authorities said the driver of a Ford Mustang was trapped inside the car for 30 minutes as emergency crews worked to free him. The unidentified man was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Carver Street had to be blocked off between N. Duke and Broad streets as crews worked to clear the scene. It is unclear what caused the accident.
