Thousands of students are less than a week away from going back to school in Wake County. Traditional schools start Monday. Last year, buses were a major problem the first few weeks of school, running hours late or not showing up at all. The Wake County School Board got an update Tuesday on how the school system is planning to avoid a repeat of those problems next week. The Wake County Public School System has spent more than $2 million in reorganizing and improving its transportation department.
