Elev8: What’s your spiritual walk?

Gary Sheffield: I maintain by walking the walk and being better each day.  I try to live it out day to day. It’s more than just a church house visit.

Elev8: What’s  your advice to men?

Gary Sheffield: When things are not going your way, you need to take it to church. Take it to prayer. The most powerful place you can go is one that allows you to be where people are good, supportive, honest and moral.  You shouldn’t run from the church, but to the church. I try to walk the walk each day. You do your best each day.

Elev8: What’s your  marriage advice?

Gary Sheffield: I think that marriage is great thing. I think that having kids out of wedlock creates a lot of different problems. Being jailed for child support, going to court for visitation are all hard negative things. They are problems. They are negatives.  Marriage removes all that negativity. Today, people are looking at a marriage as more of an agreement and less as a moral thing.

Elev8: Finally, who is going to win at the All- Star Game? The American League or The National League?

Gary Sheffield:  (Laugh) The National League!
