The Men of Semper Fidelis will honor The Light 103.9’s Afternoon Drive Personality Jerry Smith with the Gentleman of Style and Substance Award for his commitment to community service at the 1st Annual Gentlemen of Style and Substance Awards event.
The event will honor 10 men in the Triangle area for their professional achievements and their commitment to community. Others being honored include Durham’s Mayor Bill Bell; City of Durham Chief of Police Jose Lopez; Co-Founder and Managing Partners of Empowered Ideas and President of the National Association of Asian American Professionals James Wong; and Executive Director of the North Carolina Latino Coalition Ivan Parra.
The goal of the event is to show appreciation and love for the honorees and to send a message that the men in the community are brothers for life no matter what color, creed or nationality. The men of MSF will stand in the gap for them, stand beside them and stand behind them.
The ceremony will take place on Sunday, June 29, at A Cultured Alliance Etiquette School located at 1910 Sedwick Road, Suite 300-B in Durham, NC.
