Today Senate gave thumbs up to the DOT on a bill that could raise the speed limit on some NC roads. The current limit on some roads is 70 mph and the bill that was filed just last week may allow the limit to rise to 75mph.
The bill doesn’t say which roads should get the higher limit. Currently there are 16 other states that have speed limits of 75 mph or higher, but none on the East Coast.
