On Thursday, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce made a recommendation to Wake County Commissioners and the School Board.
They suggested Commissioners and the Board eliminate the proposed state legislation and come to a compromise. The two bodies are fighting over which one should be in charge of building and maintaining schools and how school board members should be elected.
The debate has now made its way to state lawmakers.
