New Bill Would Put Cursive Writing Back Into Education Curriculum

In light of a new movements to replace subjects like cursive writing and multiplication with other instructional topics, lawmakers have come up with a bill that will put the “basics” back into schools.
“Back to Basics” bill, House Bill 146 would require public schools resubmit and add these subjects back to their education curriculum.
Under this bill students would learn legible cursive writing by 5th grade and be required to memorize multiplication tables.
