A judge granted the will of the will that was written by Hemsley and that his estate would go to his best friend Flora Enchinton.
Judge Patricia B. Chew gave the go ahead for Enchinton to bury Hemsley and to continue to run his estate. Hemsley half brother, Richard Thornton contested the will and will currently appeal the judges decision.
George Hemsley better known as George Jefferson passed away on July 24th after suffering from lung cancer.
