Tuesday night is the first Wake School Board meeting since rumors surfaced about Debra Goldman and Chris Malone being involved in an affair a couple of years ago.
Both are now running for state office – Goldman for state auditor and Malone for state House of Representatives in the 35th District.
There has also been allegations in police reports of board members threatening each other during closed meetings.
The school board did its work tonight like normal, but there was certainly an elephant in the room.
