The scripture Luke 21:36 encourage us to watch as well as pray. The new living translation of Luke 21:36 puts it like this, “Keep alert at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man.”
I have never seen it fail, the Lord will give you a queue and a warning that allows you to change a course and go a different direction 1Corinthians 10:13 speaks of a way of escape that will be made. The problem is, so often we miss those warnings, and we even miss the way of escape that is made for us because we are not paying attention, not tuned in, or don’t want to believe what we see.
I often think of my grandmother’s words when I would show her something, she would say, “girl go get my specs so I can see what’s going on.” That’s what we all need to do, put our minds eye on and pay attention so we are prepared for what comes our way.
