One Love Cruise Triple Play Payoff Contest
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
CONTEST DESCRIPTION:
The Light 103.9 One Love Cruise Triple Play Payoff contest (“Contest”) will begin on Monday, January 30, 2012 and end on Friday, February 3, 2012 (“Contest Period”). Five (5) Grand Prize winners will each be awarded one (1) cabin for two (2) for the One Love Gospel Cruise on board the Norwegian Star, sailing March 18 – March 23, 2012 from Tampa, FL. Winner and guest responsible for airfare to and from Tampa, FL and any ground transportation costs.
HOW TO ENTER:
Listeners of WNNL-FM who are legal residents of the US residing within the Raleigh/Durham, NC metropolitan area, and are twenty-one (21) years of age and older will be able to take part in this Contest. There are two ways to qualify to win in this Contest. To participate in the Contest, listeners must do the following:
1. On-Air: Listeners are to tune in at 7:18am weekday morning during the Contest Period for the Light 103.9 One Love Cruise Triple Play Payoff songs of each day. Listeners will be instructed to listen for the three songs announced at 7:18am.
2. When listeners hear the One Love Cruise Triple Play Payoff songs of the day played through out the day in the order that they were announced (consecutively back to back to back) they are to be the 3rd caller.
3. The 3rd listener to call in at (919) 845-1039 or (877) 310-9665 will automatically qualify for a chance to win a cabin on the One Love Cruise.
4. Text: Listeners will be able to text to join the Light Mobile Club for their chance to win. When prompted text the word “thelight” to short code 96230 for a chance to win. Contestants will be randomly selected from those who have sent a qualifying text. Standard text and data rates will apply.
ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:
1. The Contest is open to listeners of WNNL-FM who are 21 years of age and older and are legal residents of the US residing within the Raleigh/Durham, NC metropolitan area.
2. Employees of WNNL-FM, Radio One, Inc., its subsidiaries, affiliates, general sponsors, promotional partners, advertisers, competitors, other radio stations in the Raleigh, NC metropolitan area, and members of the immediate families (defined as spouse, child, sibling, parent, or grandparent) or households (whether related or not) of any of the above are NOT eligible to participate or win in this Contest.
3. Travel guest of Grand Prize winner must also be 21 years of age or older and a legal resident of the U.S. Winner and guest must each possess a valid passport and valid driver’s license or other government-issued photo I.D. prior to departure and must travel on the same itinerary. Travel guest will be required to sign and submit all requested release forms along with the Grand Prize winner.
4. Once an individual wins a prize in this Contest, they are not eligible to win another prize in this Contest except as specified within these rules.
PRIZES:
1. Qualifying on-air prizes will include the following:
a. One (1) Dozen Roses
b. 12 ct Bakery Cupcakes
c. One (1) Greeting Card
2. Grand Prize package will include the following:
a. A trip for the Grand Prize winners and one (1) guest to attend the ONE LOVE GOSPEL CRUISE on March 18th – March 23rd, 2012, to include:
• One (1) double occupancy cabin aboard the ONE LOVE GOSPEL CRUISE departing on March 18, 2012 and returning on March 23, 2012. Meals on board the ship are included, with the exception of private restaurants. The cruise ship will depart from Tampa, Florida sailing to Cozumel, Mexico and the Grand Cayman.
b. Winner must be able to travel and attend the ONE LOVE GOSPEL CRUISE on the specified days above. Estimated Value: Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000). If the actual value of the prize is less than the stated approximate retail value, the difference will not be awarded in cash. Winner and guest will be responsible for their own round trip airfare to Tampa, Florida, and for ground transportation between the airport and the cruise ship.
c. Winner and guest must possess required travel documents (e.g. valid U.S. passport with photo) prior to departure and travel together on the same itinerary. Travel guest of the Grand Prize Winner must also be 21 years of age or older and a legal resident of the U.S. Travel guest will be required to sign and submit all requested release forms along with the Grand Prize winner.
d. Ground transportation, meals away from the ship, alcoholic beverages, gratuities, off-ship excursions, souvenirs, incidentals, and all other expenses not specified herein are the responsibility of the Grand Prize winner and his or her guest. WNNL-FM and Radio One, Inc. shall not be responsible for providing any substitute trips or travel arrangements in the event of the winner and/or guest’s failure to arrive in a timely manner for departure on the cruise or other travel itineraries.
3. Dates and times of concerts and trips promoted by Contest sponsors are subject to change and those changes are deemed to be beyond the control of WNNL-FM and Radio One, Inc. Changes of venue, cancellation of engagements by performing artists, and/or their management may be permanent in nature. WNNL-FM and Radio One, Inc. are not obligated to make any effort to find an alternative prize under these circumstances.
4. No substitution of prize is offered, no transfer of prize to a third party is permitted and non-cash prizes may not be redeemed for cash value, except as determined by station management and/or the sponsor in its sole discretion.
5. All Contest winners must sign and date official station release and waiver forms as requested. Failure to do so will result in winner forfeiting the prize. If a winner is unable to accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety.
6. If for any reason a Contest winner decides not to accept an awarded prize, the winner will be required to sign a release form acknowledging that they are forfeiting the prize. It will be at the discretion of the Contest sponsor and / or Contest administrator if another entrant is to be selected as the winner if time permits.
7. Winners must provide valid identification (i.e. via driver’s license, passport or other government-issued photo I.D) to fill out appropriate paperwork and claim their prize. Winners will be instructed to come to the offices of the Station located at 8001 Creedmoor Road, Suite 101 Raleigh, NC 27613.
EXECUTION:
1. During the Contest Period, eligible listeners will be encouraged to participate in the Contest by listening for The Light 103.9 One Love Cruise Triple Play Payoff Song or participating by text. The contest will be executed from 10:00am to 7:00pm weekdays during the Contest Period.
2. The Grand Prize drawings will take place daily at 6:25pm.
3. The Contest will progress in the following manner:
a. On-Air: Entrants have to listen for The Light 103.9 for the One Love Cruise Triple Play Payoff Song.
b. Listeners need to call (919) 845-1039 or (877) 310-9665.
c. The 3rd caller will automatically qualify to win and will receive the qualifying prize, which includes one dozen roses, 12ct bakery cupcakes and greeting card; OR
d. Text: Listeners will be able to text to join the Light Mobile Club for their chance to win.
e. When prompted text the word “thelight” to short code 96230 for a chance to win. Contestants will be randomly selected from those who have sent a qualifying text. Standard text and data rates will apply.
f. The winner will be notified via phone and then announced on-air.
g. The winner will come to the radio station and claim their prize.
4. All decisions made by WNNL-FM and Radio One, Inc. management regarding any aspect of this Contest are final.
5. Winners will be instructed to come to the offices of the Station located at 8001 Creedmoor Road, Suite 101 Raleigh, NC 27613.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
1. Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes associated with the receipt of the prize (prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged).
2. Any person winning over $600.00 in prizes will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year for tax purposes and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS as required by law.
3. The Light 103.9 One Love Cruise Triple Play Payoff contest (“Contest”) will begin on Monday, January 30, 2012 and end on Friday, February 3, 2012 unless otherwise terminated earlier or extended at the sole discretion of WNNL-FM and Radio One, Inc.
4. No purchase necessary. Contest is void where prohibited. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
5. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entrants participating during the Contest Period.
6. By participating in the Contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Contest, in any media now known or hereafter devised for advertising or promotional purposes without additional compensation, and must sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize. By entering this Contest, each participant agrees to comply with the Official Rules and the decisions of the Contest sponsor which shall be final and binding in all aspects relating to the Contest.
7. All Contest winners will be required to sign a liability release prior to acceptance of any prize. Pursuant to the liability release, the winner or winners will agree to hold WNNL-FM, Radio One, Inc., any other Contest parties and each of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies, officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of the foregoing, harmless against any and all claims or liability, directly or indirectly related to or arising from or in connection with Contest participation or the acceptance, possession or use / misuse of awarded prize or any portion thereof, or participation in prize-related activities, including but not limited to any related travel.
8. WNNL-FM retains the right to disqualify any entrant if all Contest rules are not followed, Contest void if prohibited by law.
9. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, WNNL-FM and Radio One, Inc. reserve the right to seek remedies and damages (including attorney’s fees) from any such entrant to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution.
10. So long as no participant is materially adversely affected, the station reserves the right to make changes in the Contest rules, which will become effective upon being announced on the air.
11. WNNL-FM, Radio One, Inc., participating sponsors and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates or their representatives, agents and employees are not responsible for the inability of any entrant to complete or continue a telephone call, facsimile transmission or internet registration due to equipment malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnections, communication failures or human error that may occur in the transmission, receipt or processing of entries. In addition, WNNL-FM, Radio One, Inc., participating sponsors and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates or their representatives, agents and employees are not responsible for lost, misdirected, mutilated, illegible or incomplete Contest entries. Once submitted, entries become the property of the station and will not be returned.
12. WNNL-FM and Radio One, Inc., participating sponsors and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates or their representatives, agents and employees are not responsible for the inability of any contestant to complete or continue an internet registration due to equipment malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnections, unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP) or other connections, communication failures or human error that may occur in the transmission, receipt or processing of entries, including any injury or damage to any computer arising from or relating to participation in this Promotion. Any use of robotic, macro, automatic, programmed or like entry methods will void all such entries, and may subject that entrant to disqualification. In addition, WNNL-FM and Radio One, Inc., participating sponsors and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates or their representatives, agents and employees are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, mutilated, illegible or incomplete contest entries. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. Once submitted, entries become the property of WNNL-FM and Radio One, Inc. and will not be returned.
13. By accepting the prize, the winner acknowledges that WNNL and Radio One, Inc. have neither made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the prize or to any portion thereof, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose.
14. WNNL-FM, Radio One, Inc., its subsidiaries, its affiliates, participating sponsors and promotional partners will not assume any responsibility for any changes in the execution of the Contest, including; cancellation of the Contest as a result of the occurrence of events not within the control of WNNL-FM, Radio One, Inc., its subsidiaries, affiliates, participating sponsors, promotional partners and other radio stations, such as Acts of God, strikes, terrorists acts or criminal acts of third parties. In the event, such an act should occur; reasonable attempts will be made to offer the winner comparable prize(s) currently being offered by the station in lieu of the prize originally awarded.
15. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including without limitation, any suspected evidence of tampering or technological corruption or if any portion of the promotion is compromised by virus(es), bugs, worms or unauthorized human intervention, fraud, an insufficient number of qualified Contest entries, or any other causes beyond WNNL-FM and Radio One, Inc.’s control which, in WNNL-FM and Radio One, Inc.’s sole opinion, corrupts, threatens or impairs the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest, WNNL-FM and Radio One, Inc. reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest at their sole discretion.
16. Dates and times of concerts and trips promoted by Contest sponsors are subject to change and those changes are deemed to be beyond the control of WNNL-FM and Radio One, Inc. Changes of venue, cancellation of engagements by performing artists, and/or their management may be permanent in nature. WNNL-FM and Radio One, Inc. are not obligated to make any effort to find an alternative prize under these circumstances.
17. Any information collected by registering to enter the Contest shall be used only in a manner consistent with these Official Contest Rules.
18. Copies of Contest rules are available during regular business hours, Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in the offices of the WNNL-FM/The Light 103.9, located at 8001 Creedmoor Road, Suite 101 Raleigh, NC 27613. Copies of Contest rules may also be made available during on-site / in-person remote events.
