In Ohio a six-story tall statue of Jesus that sat along Interstate 75 was struck by lightning in a thunderstorm and burned to the ground. The King of Kings statue was put up in 2004 by Solid Rock Church and is one of southwest Ohio’s most familiar landmarks. The sculpture, 62 feet tall and 40 feet wide was made of plastic foam and fiberglass over a steel frame, and was nicknamed Touchdown Jesus. No one was hurt during the blaze.
