Lights and parade are on the list for weekend holiday events in Durham. The annual lighting of the Lucky Strike Water Tower at American Tobacco Campus will happen tonight at 7pm. Guests are asked to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s BackPack Buddies program. There will be performances by the Durham School of the Arts Concert Chorale and Advanced Middle School Chorus and singing from Morehead Montessori Magnet Elementary School. The festivities continue Saturday with a parade at 4pm with floats and bands.
