Yet another puzzling turn for this tragic story. Jail officials in Cumberland County have confirmed that the mother of slain 5 year old Shaniya Davis is pregnant, and is being kept separate from the rest of the prison population. Antionette Davis is accused of human trafficking, prostitution and felony child abuse. Antionette appeared in court yesterday with no emotion and did not enter a plea to the charges. Shaniya’s body was found yesterday in an area by Highway 87 and Walker Rd. just south of Sanford.
