June’s Pastor of the Month is Pastor Timothy Careathers, the senior pastor/teacher of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, located in Fayetteville, NC
Pastor Timothy D. Careathers, the Senior Pastor and Teacher of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC, has been recognized as The Light 103.9’s Pastor of the Month. With a ministry that began in March 2000 at Greater Second Missionary Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN, Pastor Careathers has dedicated over two decades to preaching, teaching, and community service. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from American Baptist College in Nashville, TN, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Theology at Wake Forest University.
Before leading Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Careathers served as the pastor of Westside Missionary Baptist Church in Chattanooga for 15 years. His ministry is deeply rooted in social justice, community activism, and civic leadership. He has held numerous leadership roles, including co-founding the Hamilton County Black Caucus and founding The Net Resource Foundation, a nonprofit organization.
A published author of the book “Supernaturally Natural,” Pastor Careathers exemplifies a commitment to justice, mercy, and humility. His impactful leadership and dedication to both spiritual and community enrichment make him a deserving honoree of this recognition.
