Thomas Walser is a football coach and teacher at Coronado High School in Lubbock, Texas. During class one day, Hector Montez, one of his players, presented a suspicious Walser with a black box.

“This is for always keeping it real with me, always keeping it 100 with me,” Montez says. “You told me sophomore year this was your favorite shoe, and then you told me your size, and you don’t even remember.”

Sure enough, Walser opened the box to reveal a pair of fresh Jordans and an A+ surprise face.

The moment was adorable… and super viral. Montez’s tweet has been liked almost 200,000 times.

Walser tweeted his appreciation and dropped some knowledge for the shoe illiterate. Apparently those particular J’s are Air Jordan 12 Taxis and they’re not even made anymore.

If there’s a lesson in all of this, it’s that we should all aspire to a) be the kind of person who can so perfectly articulate gratitude, or b) be the kind of leader who deserves it.
