Frigid temps today will keep many of us in the triangle below freezing throughout the day.

ABC11 Meteorologist Don “Big Weather” Schwenneker says we are off to our coldest start to a day so far this year with temperatures in the teens in many parts of the area.

“Despite plenty of sunshine today, temps will only recover to the low 30s. That is about 20 degrees below average,” he said. “It will be another clear and cold one tonight with lows again in the teens.”

Don also talks of a weak system coming through on Wednesday possibly bringing some flurries or drizzle to the area.

Then right behind it will be a stronger front that could bring more rain, sleet and possible snow on Friday into Saturday.
