Honestly a lot of us are or have been in denial about what we are eating. The average person doesn’t want to know the real value of what they are putting in their body (calories/fat grams/carbs/etc). I challenge anybody to use an app like MyFitnessPal and track their eating habits for a week. I guarantee the end result will be more shocking that they would have ever imagined. If they didn’t know why their overweight before they will afterwards. The issue is that no one wants to know the truth about what’s really in our food.

Here’s a great example. I went out with a frat brother to The Cheesecake Factory a few weeks back. Something on the menu caught my eye. The Spicy Chicken And Cashews was calling my name. I paused and sighed after running the dish through MyFitnessPal…1800+ calories is a lot for one meal. I mean on average I only take in 2000 calories per day (or less). Now because I had an extremely great day exercise and food wise I got the meal. That was my choice. It was an educated one too. I knew what I was eating. I ran the numbers. Although I will admit that the Carb level was way too high. Remember….the average person never checks out food values prior to ordering/eating. #KnowledgeIsPower #BodyEmpowerment
