According to a Change.Org petition created recently, the entire North Carolina Central University Marching Band Staff will not be returning to NCCU next school year.
Band staff members, including head band director Jorim Reid, were notified recently that they would not be returning next school year due to their contracts not being renewed, and that they would be terminated prior to the start of the fall semester.
An interim band director has not been named.
