The Weekend Wrap Up With WRAL TV 5 Gerald Owens
Today WRAL TV 5 news anchor David Crabtree filled in for WRAL TV 5 news anchor Gerald Owens. Every Monday afternoon Owens gives a quick recap of the weekends big news stories and a heads up on what’s coming up in the WRAL TV-5 evening news.
Owens a 20 year television veteran started his career in 1993, as a reporter trainee at WUSA-TV in Washington, D.C. and began working at WRAL TV-5 in 2002.
Today David Crabtree recapped the unfortunate death of a Fayetteville 2 year old who got hold of a fire arm and accidently shot himself.
The child’s 19 year old father was charged with involuntary manslaughter in the case, This morning you may have noticed an increased presence of the Highway Patrol, they are conducting “Operation Stop Arm” to enforce drivers to stop when a school bus has stopped. This effort is to protect children getting on and off the bus.
President Obama is mad that people are having problems with the governments Affordable Care Act’s website and vows to have it fixed immediately and Crabtree talked about the two children that were killed in a school shooting this morning in SparksNevada.
Crabtree also gave a preview of what’s coming up in the evening news. Tonight they will talk about what’s going on at the NC State Fair and what food there is to eat this year as well as a consumer report about the best bargain of the best detergent to use.
