Radio One Raleigh is partnering with the Longhorn Steakhouse (8121 Brier Creek Pkwy, Raleigh, NC 27617) for the Tip-A-Jock promotion. During this promotion our jocks will be featured as celebrity waiters/waitresses, working for tips. All tips will be given to the Central Children’s Home of North Carolina.
Join me from 3-7pm and ask for my section!!!!
The Central Children’s Home of North Carolina, Inc. is a residential child care facility and has been in operation for over one-hundred years. The mission of the Central Children’s Home is to provide family centered services via an appropriate period of residential group care for children and youth from ages 9-21, who cannot remain at home due to dependency, neglect or abuse; by
providing a wholesome atmosphere that is conductive to their emotional, educational, social, spiritual and physical growth and development which promotes positive family functioning and/or independent living. The Central Children’s Home of North Carolina is licensed by the North Carolina Department of Human Resources to provide care for 30 children in their longterm care program and 8 children in their Emergency Care Program. The Central Children’s Home of North Carolina, Inc. is considered to be the oldest historically black children’s home in America.
The goal of this promotion is to raise $2,500 that will be donated to the Central Children’s Home of North Carolina, Inc..
