Today is going to be another scorcher in the triangle area with temperatures rising to 106 but it will feel like 115. 

It doesn’t get to much better over the weekend with temps reaching a highs between 103-105. 

Experts are urging people to use precautions by staying inside as much as possible.  Those who must go outside should dring lots of water, take frequent breaks, and wear cool, light-colored clothing and watch for symptoms of heat illnesses. 

Here are some symtoms you should look out for:

  • Throbbing headache
  • Dizziness and light-headedness
  • Lack of sweating despite the heat
  • Red, hot, and dry skin
  • Muscle weakness or cramps
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Rapid heartbeat, which may be either strong or weak
  • Rapid, shallow breathing
  • Behavioral changes such as confusion, disorientation, or staggering
  • Seizures
  • Unconsciousness
