Yesterday the NAACP and many others rallied for time with the Wake County Board of Education.  Many concerns were at hand. What do you think about them….Last week the Wake County Board of Education voted on plans to dissolve their diversity policy. NC NAACP President William Barber and others feel that the school board’s plan will bring back the racial segregation that existed before a 1954 Supreme Court ruling that ended the separate but equal policy. The NAACP is asking for a 45 minute public hearing before the full board instead of a private meeting suggested by Wake school board Chairman Ron Margiotta. Wake School board has also promised to end mandatory year-round schools.
